My heart dropped into my stomach
into the pit of my stomach
I felt rejected
“nothing new,”
I reminded myself.
I sat
weeping
replayed the events over in my mind
pondering
why was my reaction so sorrow ridden.
Still
I surrendered to the quiet
spoke with God
still
I pled for answers to the unknowns.
